Committees
Activities:
To sponsor social functions that will bring the members, their family and friends, and the community together in fellowship.
Building:
Identify needs and requirements of the Association building and property, and organize efforts to address all issues.
Communications:
Build associations, collaborative relations and partnerships with businesses, other community civic associations, nonprofit organizations, city agencies, and other government that support WECA goals and objectives. The committee is responsible for the preparation of the WECA Facebook and WECA Websites, at a minimum, and for flyers and other written information that are distributed to various sources.
Community Relations:
Support and promote the goals and objectives of the Association, and promote the neighborhood and neighborhood businesses through written correspondence, meetings and other appropriate means, in order to promote a healthy, economically strong, and culturally rich community.
Activities may include:
Welcoming new neighbors and businesses
Identifying neighborhood and business concerns
Reporting these concerns to WECA membership and appropriate WECA committees, and responding to neighborhood concerns as appropriate and as directed by the President and/or the Board
Forging community and advocacy
Building partnerships and collaborative relationships with property owners, residents, and businesses
Fundraising:
Support, initiate, coordinate, and carry out the raising of money and requests for goods and services for WECA through grants, fundraising activities, and other modes as appropriate, and under the direction of the President and the Board.
Neighbors of WECA:
Focused on community-based goals. Including, but not limited to assisting WECA with ongoing plans to maintain and improve the quality of the playground and other facilities at the William Wall Memorial Park.
A minimum of 2 WECA members shall serve on thus committee. A member of this committee does not have to be a WECA member.
Rentals:
Promote and manage the short term loan agreements of the Association building, and equipment.
